When mentally well we should think good thoughts about ourselves and others “most of the time” unless youve had a crisis. We should have happy songs going around in our heads NOT be constantly thinking about any bad situation..that has, has not, or may never happen..
The right medications at the right dose for the right brain are “highly effective” for symptoms such as:
Being aloof introverted..isolating yourselves, avoiding hobbies, talking to work colleagues, neighbours, housemates or wanting to hiberate most of the time.
Stopping those conversations in your head (that you continually have) that no one else sees, but that you wish you didnt have..that only slow down or stop when you run the legs off yourself, take sedating drugs, or spend 4 hours in a spa or a weekend in a health retreat
Stopping worry about airline travel, work, meetings, packing, planning for everything days in advance..being overwhelmed by slightest daily stress
Stopping poor sleep. Anything under 7 hrs isnt enough for brain to repair from the day. Taking ages to fall asleep, wakening up early..Or sleeping over 9hrs a day is also a sign..
Stopping having loose stools at work, when under stress, in restaurants, out socially or when travelling..
Not being able to enjoy the everyday things..not laughing daily, is often as sign of being depressed or chronically stressed..
Stopping being cross at home with your family members
PMDD can respond really well to antidepressants but a person may need up to 3 types to get proper control with doctors in psychiatry and/or get the HRT dose right (minus the large daily progesterone dosing as PMDD persons are highly intolerant to their own progesterone, let alone any extra!)
Low mood is largely related to snips in genes like MTHFR, MTRR, COMT, CBS, And it cannot be resolved with a gut healthy diet or lifestyle changes alone. A big part of my work is helping clients reveal their root causes, start them on their drainage and detox journey, replete deficiencies and link them with letters to the right medical professionals to alter and avoid ending up in bed all day in their 40s 50s and 60s when “the change” exaperates low mood and anxiety.
