Concerned about Your Childs Bone Health? Have been diagnosed with Osteopenia or Osteoporosis?

Imagine i had a 4 year wait at 45yrs to have a public free HSE dexa scan this week in sligo general hospital!
Bone health is a big part of my case load. Undernourished kids because the food we eat today isnt mineral rich. Teens undereating whos periods stop. Stressed mammies with osteopenia. Midlife women fasting for weight loss. Older women looking for better bones. All with major consequences for our bone health.

I worked in the field of oesteoporosis for a few years and had my first dexa scan at 25 which showed osteopenia in my left hip. Both the doctor and myself were confused, i was young, healthy, weightbearing exercising, eating well but I now know this was because i wasnt digesting my food well and chronic stress for years had dialled down my stomach acid.
Did you know stress melts your bones like nothing else? You can eat all the healthy food but stress will stop it going to where it needs to go!
My scan at age 30 still showed same. Osteopenia. Age 33 i was chronically thin from stress and not sleeping once my dad died suddently. I was still under major stress and not able to digest once i became a mum caring for my own mum with dementia at the same time.

At age 38 i started the long road to finding out my root causes. My periods went v scanty by age 40 and at 42 and 43 i had no periods at all i thought i was in menopause and started HRT.

Today age nearly 46 next month i have a good story to tell, i am out of fight or flight, my digestion is better than ever. I have changed somethings in my diet, changed my lifestyle to work less, found the right supplements and medication to manage my mental health, resolved my gut infections SIBO and Mold, fixing my minerals and nutrient deficiencies for past 2 years and am optimising liver thyroid mitochondrial and adrenal health. My periods came back Jan 25 i am in perimenopause with every 3rd period at 22 days but my dexa scan is NORMAL for the first time in my life!!! Woohoo!!

Change is possible. You can build strong healthy bones at any age if you know how to feed them what they need. For your appt DM us or email my secretary on ei.tugruoyhtiwog@ofni
